For the best views, head toward the Sandy Dunes - on Denes Beach. You can see views of the town, marshes and beach. There are also plenty of opportunities to explore the harbour, marshlands, and neighbouring Walberswick by foot - it is like one giant playground. If you stop and sit in by the restaurants / pubs at the harbour, you can do a bit of boat watching.

Southwold is lively, rough around the edges in all the right ways and for those reasons I love it.
Number 5 southwold is a beach side cottage sleeps 4, just across from beach. Inside you are welcomed with a living/dining room with a log burner, well equipped kitchen, shower room, and 2 bedrooms(a double and a twin). The large gardens are enclosed and surround the cottage giving you total privacy and nice space to play. There is also a delightful outdoor tub available on request.
