THE BEST TIME TO VISIT SOUTHWOLD

Based on the temperature alone, the data shows that the best time to visit Southwold is June to September. The temperature on average is about 25 degrees celcius and winds are mild. The hottest month is August.

The coldest season is between December and March (for 4 months) and temperature is around 5-10 degrees celcius on average. The temperature rarely gets below 5 degrees (and if it does, not for long). The coldest month is February.

If temperature doesn’t bother you (it doesn’t bother me!) I would next look at the data for the wettest weather.

According to the studies the driest months are February - October a full 9 months of potentially dry weather (**this is England -  and I remember storm Eunice happened in February 2022 causing havoc). The wettest months November to January.

If you are planning a trip, you may want to consider some of the data above. According to the temperature, I’d say the best months are in Summer, and the months that straddle summer.

For me, dry crispy days full of sun are a favourite! It is still gorgeous conditions for walking and being outdoors, as long as you wrap up - hence, February is in my selection!

Remember, you can plan a pretty picnic but you can’t predict the weather!
